LKADC MEETING MINUTES

December 13,2004

The Little Kanawha Area Development Corporation had its regularly scheduled board meeting Monday December 13, 2004 in Elizabeth WV at the WVU Extension Service, WCDA office at 7:00 p.m. Members present were Donnie Pitts, Bryan Sims, Alvin Engelke, Robert Lowe, Dan McDonald. Member proxy: Larry McCallister. Staff present: Diane Ludwig.

Keith Wilson resigned his board position effective 12/13/04, citing the fact he has started a new business on top of working at his regular job and VFD duties. His resignation was accepted.

October minutes were reviewed. Alvin Engelke made a motion to accept, second by Donnie Pitts. Minutes approved.

Robert Lowe made a motion to accept current financials. Donnie Pitts seconded. Motion approved.

Discussions held: FEMA fire grant activity, USDA RBEG property grant status, Funding applications to Dominion Gas, Wesbanco, Calhoun Banks.

New business activity involved Yoaks Auction’s interest in having large auction at BFG building, Richards Metal Fabricators, Millers Salvage, Mingo Bottom Golf’s new ownership.

Motion was made by Bryan Sims to extend Diane Ludwig’s current contract to March 5, 2005. Alvin Engelke seconded. Motion approved.

All members are to think about activities they want to see the LKADC doing and communicate these at the February meeting.
