Meeting Minutes
The Board of Directors of the Little Kanawha Area Development Corporation (LKADC) held its regular meeting on Monday, August 15, 2005 at 7 p.m. in Grantsville WV at the Calhoun County Center on Aging building. A quorum of members were present. Members present: Dick Ullum, Donnie Pitts, Dan McDonald, Neil Blankenship, Alan Rollins, Alvin Engelke, Jim Morford. Member proxies: Larry McCallister. Diane Ludwig, staff, was present.
Minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and approved. Financials were reviewed and approved with motion by Dick Ullum, second by Donnie Pitts. Motion approved.
Members were updated on the progress of negotiations with the Forestland Group regarding purchase of a large piece of property by an area developer, and by the progress of the LKADC’s negotiations with them regarding a purchase price for the property located at the intersection of Rt. 5 and Bonnette Rd.
Recent events regarding the BF Goodrich property were also related to the board. They were given an update on new Microloan applications and other business activity in the two-county area.
Diane Ludwig gave an update on her recent meeting with representatives of Allegheny Power Gas regarding the property the LKADC owns in Elizabeth. She also provided some information about a possible upcoming project involving the former Grantsville Hotel building.
The meeting was adjourned. Next meeting will be Monday, October 17th, in Elizabeth.
